Cyborg 009" is one of the masterpieces of Shotaro Ishinomori, and an immortal masterpiece in the history of Japanese science fiction manga. Since its serialization in 1964, "Cyborg 009," which depicts the activities, conflicts, friendship, and love for humanity among nine cyborgs, has been published for many years as Shotaro Ishinomori's lifework, crossing the boundaries of publishers and media genres, including shōjo manga magazines, seinen manga magazines, and newspapers. Many of the episodes depicted in the series deal with social issues, incidents, and wars, making it a work that has remained close to the times.
